Parent terms for BananaLearn tutoring

These terms explain the tutoring service you purchase from BananaLearn, your responsibilities, and how we handle changes, cancellations and complaints. Please read them with our Cancellation & Refund Policy and Privacy Policy before booking.

1. Your service provider and who can enrol

BananaLearn is the trade name of a sole proprietorship operating from Bhilai, Chhattisgarh, India. BananaLearn provides tutoring directly to you, including where we engage independent teachers to deliver lessons. Your purchase is with BananaLearn; we handle scheduling, teacher replacements, support and refunds.

For a learner under 18, the parent or lawful guardian must make the booking, accept these terms and be responsible for payments and permissions. Adult learners may enrol on their own behalf. Provide accurate learner and contact details, and keep account access secure.

Contact: support@bananalearn.com or +91 93297 24558.

2. Lessons and the free demo

We provide live 1-on-1 online tutoring, teaching materials and related academic support. A standard session lasts 50 minutes. The first session is free; its booking does not commit you to a paid package. Demo and paid-session times depend on teacher availability and are confirmed with you.

Before you purchase, we confirm the subject, grade or curriculum, number and duration of sessions, total price, scheduling arrangements and any package validity period. We agree material changes with the parent or adult learner. There is no separate registration fee.

3. Fees, payments and package records

The booking confirmation states your fees, currency, any legally applicable tax and payment schedule. A package may be paid in advance where agreed. We provide a receipt or invoice and maintain a record of sessions delivered and remaining. We do not automatically renew a package or debit a recurring payment without your separate authorisation.

Payments are for BananaLearn's tutoring service. We pay teachers separately under our arrangements with them. Your card issuer or bank may charge its own currency-conversion or international-payment fees; please check these before paying from overseas.

4. Cancellations, rescheduling and refunds

Please request a class cancellation or rescheduling at least 12 hours before its confirmed start time. Late requests depend on availability, but there is no separate cancellation penalty. Teacher cancellations and lessons that we do not deliver are never charged as completed lessons.

You can cancel a paid package and request a refund for unused sessions at the original package rate, without an exit penalty or retrospective increase in the price of completed lessons. We initiate refunds within 7 working days of receiving your request and the information reasonably needed to identify the payment. Read our full Cancellation & Refund Policy, including examples and bank-processing timelines.

5. Teaching arrangements and learning outcomes

We assess teachers for eligibility and match learners with a suitable teacher. If the arrangement is unsuitable or a teacher becomes unavailable, contact us to discuss a replacement. If we cannot provide the remaining service, you may request a refund for the undelivered sessions.

We aim to support understanding and progress. Marks, ranks, admissions and specific improvements are not guaranteed: outcomes also depend on the learner's participation, practice and school assessments. This does not reduce our responsibility to provide the tutoring service we agreed with you.

6. Attendance, technical problems and respectful conduct

Please provide a suitable device, internet connection and a quiet learning space. Tell us promptly about an absence, connection issue or accessibility need. We will discuss a practical solution, such as rescheduling or making up lost teaching time. An unused or undelivered session is not automatically treated as completed merely because a cancellation request was late.

Learners, parents and teachers must communicate respectfully. Harassment, discrimination, sexual misconduct and unsafe behaviour are not permitted. We may pause or end a session or account for safety reasons, explain the decision where appropriate, and account fairly for unused paid sessions under the refund policy.

7. Child safety, privacy and recordings

Parents should use the agreed support channels for scheduling and concerns. Teachers must not seek private social-media contact or unrelated personal information from a child. Report safety concerns to support immediately; urgent safety issues may require contact with the appropriate authorities.

Our Privacy Policy explains our data practices. Neither party should record or publish a lesson without the appropriate permissions. If we propose recording a session, we will explain its purpose, access and retention before obtaining the relevant permission. Permission for teaching is not automatically permission to publish a child's image, voice or testimonial for marketing.

8. Learning materials and fair use of the platform

You may use materials we provide for the learner's personal study. Do not sell, publicly distribute or upload those materials or session recordings without permission. Ownership remains with BananaLearn or the relevant rights holder. Please do not upload material you are not entitled to share, access another learner's account or interfere with the service.

9. Support and complaints

Email support@bananalearn.com with the learner's name or booking reference and a brief description. Do not email card numbers, passwords or identity documents unless specifically needed through an appropriate secure process.

We acknowledge complaints within 48 hours and work to resolve them within one month of receipt, or sooner where required by law. If a refund is due, the refund timeline in our Cancellation & Refund Policy applies. You remain free to use the National Consumer Helpline, a competent consumer commission or another lawful remedy.

10. Your legal rights and changes to these terms

Indian law governs these terms, subject to mandatory protections that apply to you. Nothing here excludes liability or a consumer remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded. Disputes may be brought before courts or consumer authorities with jurisdiction under applicable law.

We may update these terms for future bookings and show the revised date. We will not retrospectively reduce the agreed benefits or refund rights of an existing paid package without your agreement. Any mandatory legal requirement continues to apply.
